Emily Carrico began her training with the Kentucky Ballet Theatre Academy, under the tutelage of Rafaela Risco. In 2010, she competed in the Youth America Grand Prix New York City finals. At age 14, she attended The Harid Conservatory where she performed lead roles in The Nutcracker, Le Corsaire, and Corazon de la Llama. While at The Harid Conservatory, Ms. Carrico received the Dance Study award for both years of attendance. In 2012, Emily joined the Kentucky Ballet Theatre, under the direction of Norbe Risco, where she performed in Carmen, Sleeping Beauty, Dracula, Coppelia, The Night Before Christmas, The Nutcracker, On Edge, William Tell Pas de Deux, and La Esmeralda Pas de Deux. After two years Emily moved to Pompano Beach, FL to study under Magaly Suarez at The Art of Classical Ballet where she performed in The Nutracker, Swan Lake, and Majisimo. In September of 2015, Emily joined the Columbia City Ballet and this will be her second season.
