Marian Morgan is from Columbia, South Carolina. She began her dance training under the tutelage of her mother, Mimi Worrell, at Ann Brodie’s Carolina Ballet Center for Dance Education. She danced with Carolina Ballet where she had the opportunity of dancing many roles and working with guest choreographers throughout her pre-professional dance training. She studied with Joulia Moiseeva, McCree O’Kelley, Keith Mearns and Miriam Barbosa. She had additional training with Stacey Calvert, Kyra Strasberg, Sara Mearns, Katie-Hanlon Mayo, Eriberto Jimenez and Sarah Hairston. She studied at the School of American Ballet, Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet, American Ballet Theatre and the Bolshoi Academy. As trainee with the Richmond Ballet under Stoner Winslett, she performed as demi-soloist in The Nutcracker, a fairy in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, in the corps of La Bayadere, in the minuet variation from Balanchine’s Divertimento, No15 and in Winslett’s Windows. The 2018-2019 season is her second with Columbia City Ballet.
