This year we will be participating in Midlands Gives, a 24- hour online giving event that brings the region together as one community, raising money and awareness for local nonprofits in 11 Midlands counties.
What is Midlands Gives?
During Midlands Gives, contributions of just $20 or more are amplified through sponsored prize incentives. Last year, more than 7,600 people raised $1.6 million for 382 local nonprofits in just one day, and since its inception in 2014 the event has raised over $3.8 million for local nonprofits.
When is Midlands Gives?

Who is Hosting Midlands Gives?
Midlands Gives is hosted by Central Carolina Community foundation, the Midlands’ expert on philanthropy. It is a nonprofit organization that links charitable people and businesses with areas of need in our community. Their mission is to promote, facilitate and increase philanthropy to create a sustainable impact within our community through responsible giving.
Is Midlands Gives only online?
Yes, the only place to donate will be online, but there will be a centrally located headquarters where you can come and receive help with your online giving on May 2.
Midlands gives Headquarters this year will be located at the South Carolina State Museum.
What if I am not able to donate on May 2?
You can pre schedule your donations here starting on April 18.
How will my donations be used?
Fifty percent of funds raised this year through Midlands Gives will be used to benefit our Educational Outreach programs. Your donations would allow those less fortunate schools to send their students to take part and benefit from our Educational Outreach programs, when they would otherwise not be able to do so.
The other fifty percent will be donated to our Match Pointe Shoe Fund. All donations will be matched by the Lexington Medical Center 100%, so these donations are technically doubled.
