The Columbia City Ballet’s Off The Wall & Onto The Stage tour has been thrilling audiences across the country, and their recent stop in Richmond, Virginia was a special treat. Presented by The James River Valley (VA) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated, and The Links Foundation, Incorporated, the ballet company’s critically acclaimed performance, Dancing the Art of Jonathan Green, made its Richmond debut at the Carpenter Theatre at Dominion Energy Center on March 10, 2023, at 7:30pm. Tickets went on sale to the public on November 4, 2022, at 10AM EST, and the event was highly anticipated by dance enthusiasts and art aficionados alike.
Dancing the Art of Jonathan Green is a unique collaboration between the Columbia City Ballet and the renowned artist Jonathan Green. Green’s vibrant, colorful paintings of Gullah culture and the Lowcountry landscapes of his native South Carolina serve as the inspiration for the pieces in the performance.
