Body & Movement Explored – An Evening of Dance Where the Visual and Physical Collide

Created to increase awareness and appreciation for mixed repertoire as well as contemporary and modern dance movement, Body & Movement Explored provides multiple choreographers an opportunity to work with the professional dancers of Columbia City Ballet. Each performance concludes with a compelling Q&A session between the choreographers and audience members providing exclusive insights into the creative processes involved.

“We are very excited about the unique nature of this event. In Columbia, there are so many talented dancers and choreographers as well as within our own Company. We are proud to showcase their pieces to our community,” Executive & Artistic Director William Starrett said. Body & Movement Explored is presented for two performances only and features a mixed repertoire program of works created by Columbia City Ballet dancers and other local and regional choreographers. These performances are made up of works never before seen by any audience. This intimate dance experience will delight and inspire you and broaden your appreciation for the art of dance.
